As part of the project, 24 participants from 8 program countries gathered in Austria to exchange best practices and develop strategies to better support young refugees in their communities.
Their collective efforts have resulted in the publication of the BOOST Toolbox—a practical resource designed to equip youth workers, educators, and organizations with effective tools and methodologies for supporting young migrants.
Date: 17-25 November 2024

In recent years, Europe has seen an increase in young immigrants under the age of 25, particularly unaccompanied minors arriving without a parent or guardian. The ongoing conflict in Ukraine has further intensified this trend. For newly arrived young migrants and asylum seekers, integration into a new society can be overwhelming. Language barriers, shyness, low self-esteem, and uncertainty about their surroundings can make it difficult for them to build networks and friendships from scratch.
BOOST!, an Erasmus+ project, was created to support young migrants and refugees in their integration into social, educational, civic, and economic life. The project fosters collaboration among partner organizations across Europe, providing information, counseling, skill development, volunteer opportunities, civic engagement, and employment pathways for young migrants.
